Van OD was established in 2014 with the vision of simplifying city living without the need for personal cars, offering a van service akin to a taxi for the residents of Bristol. Initially starting as a single individual with a van, our business has since expanded to include a growing network of independent owner-drivers, allowing us to offer a wider variety of van sizes and greater availability at short notice. This operational model also ensures we maintain a high level of dependability, as we can often fulfil bookings even if one driver or van is unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances. We understand that reliability is essential to our customers, and we pride ourselves on delivering this consistently.

To guarantee the highest standards of service, we personally hand-select all our drivers and regularly meet with them to ensure that they align with our values of professionalism and quality. Every driver we work with is required to have the necessary insurance for the job, including Goods In Transit and Public Liability coverage. Among our regular clients are local businesses such as Jim Sharples Furniture, Elin Rhian Upholstery, Wild Leaf, and Sheridan Myers, all of whom rely on us for dependable delivery services. Since 2017, we have also provided relief cover for Sheridan Myers' drivers in Bristol, helping to ensure smooth operations for their contracts with various local authorities.

Can totally recommend Van OD and Farouk. I was confused and didnt know which way to turn, I stood thinking of all that had to be done and felt hopeless. Along comes Farouk, he was just a whirlwind and he put some order into my life. He moved me from one place, then we went to another to pick up more things, then took me to what is now my home. He even moved plants and small trees in planters. Cannot express my gratitude and admiration enough.

It was a Friday afternoon, traffic was bad but he worked hard up to the end even though, because it was the weekend, he still had a long car journey ahead of him. Thank you Farouk, you saved the day.

Simple booking via email, van driver turned up on time and was polite and friendly. 45 paid via bank transfer after being dropped off. Nothing got damaged but it would have been nice to have had blankets/straps in the van for peace of mind. Some sort of booking system would be nice too.

Communication could have been slightly quicker, but it all worked out well, especially considering I wasn't able to confirm the moving date until a few days before. The guys were very helpful and managed to cram all my things (from a 3 bed house) into just one van (and my car). In hindsight, 2 vans would've have been easier but they made it work!

Van OD where great to work with, easy communicators and gave clear estimate after my list of kit was provided (which was actually reduced after they moved all my stuff in less time than quoted!). They put up with moving not only all my heavy boxes of books but all the fiddily bits and slightly awkwardly wrapped items too. Their customer care was particularly notable in that they tip-toed around my housemates, who where moving out simultaneously, without protest. I would obviously recomend these guys and will happily use them again in future.

I've used VanOD multiple times now throughout living in Bristol, and they've always been fantastic. Great value: they offer a range of vans on their websites and can advise you exactly which one is best to fit your needs, and you can choose from just one driver or two to help with lifting/loading/unloading. In all of my experiences, the drivers have been punctual, polite, hard-working and efficient.

I've used Robin a few times now, both for house moves and for smaller pick ups of odd bits of furniture. Sometimes available with only a days notice but often has plenty of time to squeeze in business. Very polite and following great physical distancing procedures during the lock-down period. Robin was so helpful and prompt! I needed to pick up a bed frame last minute and all other man with van services were expensive but Robin said he could pick up and deliver the bed frame to me within a couple hours and didn't charge me a crazy price for it. Great service.
